Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
Our constitution was founded on a document known as the Bill of Rights which plainly says that rights come from not the government or some government entity or some human tyrant or tyrannical entity but from the Universal Deity!
The first article of our constitution is known as the freedom of speech and religion Amendment which basically means any speech objectionable or otherwise shall not be censored nor shall any attempt being made to install a government religion such as that known as the Church of England or Islam, or Buddhism or anything like such! The first amendment also insurers the people are free not to practice nor be beholden to any particular religion!
The first sentence of the first amendment plainly states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" This sentence was a direct outgrowth of the Founder's abhorrent rejection of the King's religion known as the Church of England which was formed to allow the King at the time to marry and murder whoever he wanted without any repercussions, we see how that worked out!
What is really obtuse about this part of the constitution is that somehow the devious lawyers on the Supreme Court have interpreted Congress to mean every governmental agency, local, state, or federal when it plainly says Congress!
What it really means is that we have freedom from religious imposition buy any government agency! You have the right not to believe in any particular religious beliefs! You will never make me believe in anything other than what I want to believe in, but there are many countries in this world which will condemn you to death for not paying homage to some sheepherder from the seventh century or some mystic from middle Asia
The founders knew that this could be a dangerous precipice, that using a religion to wield a political stick as the Church of England has done and still does to this day along with the murderous Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East and across the planet!
The second sentence, "or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press", is tied directly to the First about freedom of religion and as an unequivocal banishment of censorship by any government agency or anyone acting as a government agency stooge as in the case of today's Socialist Social Media and the Moron Media a.k.a. Mainstream Media which currently are doing everything in their power to tell us what we can say, what we can't say, and how must think, act, etc. etc.!
This kind of behavior was especially abhorrent to the Founders and was very well laid out in the Federalist Papers and as Judge William Brandeis one said "the only way to deal with objectionable speech, is with more speech", which means no censorship of any kind, no matter how much you don't like a word, a group of words or thoughts being put on paper or any other media! PERIOD!
The last clause of the first amendment, "or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances" has been particularly violated by the Communist Progressive Liberal Criminals in many jurisdictions because they do not agree with the position of the patriotic peaceful protesters, yet the same Communist Progressive Liberal Criminals will allow violent protesters to burn, rape, loot, and murder with impunity if they are carrying on violent non-peaceful criminal actions against those who disagreed with said Communist Progressive Liberal Criminals which has been evidenced in cities like Seattle, WA Portland OR, Los Angeles, New York City, the list goes on and on of this criminal behavior yet peaceful protesters are attacked and even murdered for objecting to this criminal behavior!
As was stated in the beginning the Founders of this country wrote the US Constitution in plain simple language that says what it means, and means what it says there is no doublespeak there is no lawyerly legal interpretations of hidden meanings! It is what it is and should be respected as such, but as we can see under the present Communist Progressive Liberal Criminal administration, it is not respected or enforced as such!
