Oh say can you see by the dawns dim light
The dark clouds gathering on the left and the right.
The citizens cannot out bid the rich
For political power slipping quickly out of reach.

Oh say can you see by the billion dollar rocket glare
While the economic bombs burst our bubble.
The profits of the few rise 2184%,
Many wonder if they’ll be able to pay the rent.

The star spangled banner doth limply hang
Over the land of the economically depressed
And the hopeless money slaves,
Chained to the materialistic corporate line.

The future holds no hope
For those with necks in a financial rope.
The politicians only listen to those with money,
Only true citizen government will turn the skies sunny.
